GCSE Fashion & Textiles - Controlled Assessment Information
Controlled Assessment (60% of final GCSE grade)
The Controlled Assessment work is made up of a single Design & Make activity based on tasks set by the AQA exam board.
Students will produce a high quality written A3 portfolio accounting for 58 marks and the product itself, which will account for 32 marks.
The Controlled Assessment folder is marked out of 90 and made of up 4 sections in total. Please see below for the deadlines for each section of the GCSE Controlled Assessment work:
Year 10 Submission deadlines
- Investigating the Design Context (8 marks)
- Development – (32 marks)
- Making (32 Marks)
- Testing & Evaluation 12 marks)
Students can score up to 6 marks for Communication through their folder work.
Homework
Homework for Controlled Assessment will be set each week and can be accessed via Show My Homework along with support materials uploaded.
